With the rise of #GivingTuesday, many nonprofits spend a good amount of resources in November every year on preparing for that ever-growing event. As great as #GivingTuesday is, there are still many nonprofits that run fundraising campaigns just a bit closer to Thanksgiving Day itself.
Here are just a few examples of nonprofits that are planning Thanksgiving-themed peer to peer fundraising events this month, from Turkey Trots to Turkey Bingo!
In support of SOLID Nashville, teams will compete in Turkey Bowl football matches. The campaign is already more than three quarters to its $10,000 goal with nine teams registered so far! The campaign site is built on one of our latest peer to peer fundraising responsive templates and offers a great flag football feel.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is one of many organizations that are urging their supporters to take part in Turkey Trots this Thanksgiving. A Turkey Trot is any walk, jog or run that usually takes part either on Thanksgiving day or the Friday after Thanksgiving. Some Turkey Trots are organized directly by nonprofits, while many others are local or even personal events which supporters ask their peers to donate to, making them either great traditional run/walk or DIY fundraising campaigns.
We couldn’t end this article without mentioning one of our fundraising campaigns of this season – Easter Seals Western & Central Pennsylvania’s Turkey Bingo night!
So get creative and raise some funds this Thanksgiving!
