This month, CHOC Children’s (CHOC) kicked off fundraising for its 27th annual CHOC “Walk in the Park” at Disneyland, with the launch of a brand new website, powered by Rallybound. The event, which has over 15,000 participants, has a fundraising goal of $3.1 million in 2017 to benefit children’s health in Orange County, California.
The website, www.chocwalk.org, allows supporters to easily set up a personal fundraising page for the August 27, 2017 event. Personalized imagery, donations through Android Pay and Apple Pay, sponsorships, FAQs, a photo gallery and deep social media integration are just some of the many features of the website that allow supporters to showcase their connection to the cause and drive participation and donations.
CHOC’s engagement with Rallybound started previously with a branded mobile app for iOS and Android that allows walkers to manage their fundraising efforts on the go. The highly rated mobile app is now fully integrated with the new website, allowing CHOC’s fundraisers to have a seamless view of their progress in real-time.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to launch something new. I know that it will serve as a tool for other charities, raising millions of dollars that will ultimately help people in need,” said Zach Abrams, Senior Director of Special Events at CHOC. “The Rallybound platform will provide our donors with new, fully integrated, social media tools, a fresh and easy-to-use mobile platform, and integration with our mobile fundraising app,” continued Abrams.
